Mingchinor Residence

The house presents two registers at once: a glazed, dark-framed upper floor that reads as a modern box at night, set above a solid stone-and-timber ground floor built around a deep, wood-soffited carport.

Cypress and pine plantings run the length of the site, keeping the composition calm despite the scale — this is a house built as much around its cars and its garden as around the rooms themselves.
